Damages & Care

In the unfortunate event of a damaged item, please alert us immediately so we can resolve the issue as soon as possible!

  • Customers are responsible for any damage created during the 4 day hire period or until item is returned.

  • Customers are responsible for all garmets they try on during a try on session. If damages occur during the try on process all policies still apply!

  • Sisters Closet holds itself to high standards of customer service. To ensure all damages are identified early, the studio is assessed by the owner before and after each appointment. If any damage is discovered after a try-on that was not present before, you will be contacted.

  • When handling damages, two types of fees may apply :

    1st is a Repair / Alteration fee : This fee applies to smaller damages that are fixable by a professional. Such as small tears, tougher stains needing an extra dry clean, broken straps and lost jewls.

    2nd is a Replacement fee : This fee applies when a garment is returned in a condition that cannot be repaired or is deemed no longer hireable according to Sisters Closet standards. The full original RRP (recommended retail price) of the garment must be reimbursed to Sisters Closet within 14 days. The hire price will be deducted from the total amount owed.

  • Please note due to materials and varying cleaning requirments, some garmets will have a higher hire price due to needing dry cleaning.

  • Please return your garment unwashed.

  • Do NOT attempt to wash your hire. Cleaning costs are included in the hire price.

  • Failure to communicate with Sisters Closet regarding damages, or refusal to pay for assessed damage costs, will constitute a breach of our hire agreement and may result in legal action being pursued to recover all associated losses, including but not limited to repair or replacement costs and any applicable legal fees.

ORDERS & rETURNS

Kindly ensure you refer to this policy prior to and during the process of ordering a hire garment, as well as when purchasing any rehome item.

  • ALL hire orders are strictly for a 4-day hire period.

  • Orders can NOT be collected without ID and Payment.

  • Holiday hires (exceeding 4-days) are available; however, they must be arranged in advance with SistersCloset via email or direct message through our social media platforms prior to placing a hire order. Failure to make prior contact before departure may result in the imposition of late fees and charges for additional hire days.

  • In the event that hired items are not returned within the agreed hire period, a late fee of $20 will apply, in addition to a charge of $5 for each additional day until the item is returned.

  • Shipping is $14 AUD. All postage orders are posted express! Postage orders close 9am every wednesday morning to ensure your order arrives in time for the weekend. All return postage costs are at the discretion of the customer.

  • Pick up & drop off orders are available from our studio free of charge.

  • If you are returning an item to the studio the garmet MUST be returned in a bag! This is not limited to the original bag you recieve your hire in.

  • Under any circumstances, a hire garment is returned directly to the pink crate without prtection of a bag, a fee of $20 will be charged for failure to comply with the return policy. Proper return procedures are in place to ensure garments remain protected and are not damaged by other clients, weather conditions, or environmental factors.

Try on Policy

Please note that our try on charge ONLY applies to the try on appointment and is not included or used towards a future hire.

  • Try on charges are non refundable

  • We please ask if you are unable to make it to your appointment, that you do let us know for courtesy minimum 24 hours prior to appointment. This allows us time to re-open that time session for any other clients.

  • NO WALK IN APPOINTMENTS. All try on appointments must be booked through our booking system.

  • If you are running late to your appointmnet we please ask you contact the studio immediatley! As some appointments do run back to back.

  • Please note that “Extra time” is allowed to be added whilst you are at your appointment BUT can not be garenteed! If the studio is running back to back appointments. It is best to contact us prior to your appointment so we can oversee and let you know if this is a possibility nice and early.

  • We understand life get’s busy and DO allow you to reschedule your try on appointments if you can no longer attend that time. To avoid having to fully rebook your appointment, you must contact sisters closet minimum 24 hours before your scheduled try on time to organise a new desired time. You will not need to re-pay for this rescheduled appointment.

  • If you are more then 15 minutes late to your appointment without contacting the studio we will count that as a no show. All no shows will be contacted, and your appointment will be immediatley cancelled.

  • We DO NOT accept rescheduled try on appointments within the 24 hour period of your original appointment time. You will have to fully re book a new appointment which includes payment for a new time.

  • No large bags are allowed into the studio during try ons.

  • You are allowed up to 1X guest maximum to attend your appointment with you, to help you navigate your choices.

  • You are allowed to share a try on appointment with maximum 1 friend. You will be able to share the cost of the appointment, but please note that you are also sharing the time! The 30 minutes is for the duo try on and NOT 30 minutes per person. If you do require additional time…extra fees may apply at your appointment.

  • Garmets are checked before and after appointments, any damages created in a try on WILL be charged as a “Damaged item” as per our damage/care policies. You can read more about our damage/care policies in our ‘policies’ page.

refunds & cancellations

SistersCloset permits refunds only in accordance with the limited conditions set forth in this policy.

  • If, after hiring a garment, you find it unsuitable or are otherwise dissatisfied with the item, you MUST notify SistersCloset and return the garment—either via drop-off or postage—within 24 hours of collection to be eligible for a FULL REFUND. If the garment remains in the client's possession for more than 24 hours, the eligibility window for a full refund will be deemed closed.

  • If you notice a fault in the garment you have hired after the 24 hour period following collection, you must contact the SistersCloset studio immediately to report the issue PRIOR to wearing the item. Following assessment, if the fault is determined by the studio to be a result of company error, you will be entitled to a partial refund of 50% of the hire fee.

  • NO refunds can be permitted AFTER wear.

  • Cancellations after an order are allowed free of charge up to 24 hours before selected pick up time.

  • Refunds shall NOT be granted under any circumstances arising from a change of mind or the cancellation of plans by the client within 24 hours of selected pick up time.
